Introduction

In this guide you will learn how to:

  • Connect Palette to the Internet using Wi-Fi on Palette 3, WiFi and ethernet on Palette 3 Pro.
  • Toggle Wi-Fi on/off, disconnect and forget Wi-Fi networks.
  • Connect Palette to your Canvas account.
  1. During the initial setup, after accepting the Terms of Service you can connect to the internet. Connecting Palette 3 to the Internet will allow for firmware updates to be completed wirelessly, and will make printer profile presets available. Additionally, it will allow you to connect Palette to your Canvas account.

    • There are two options for connecting to the internet: Wi-Fi (Palette 3, Palette 3 Pro) or Ethernet (Palette 3 Pro only).

    • If you skip connecting to the Internet during the initial setup, you can always connect from the side menu later.

Not working. REmoved security ad password from router still won't connect. Sees the two 2.5g ports, even sees the name. but won't connect. Not off to a good start

  2. To connect to Wi-Fi: Tap Wi-Fi and choose an existing network from the list, or manually add a network using an SSID and a password. In case there are issues connecting to Wi-Fi during this initial setup, this can be skipped and entered again from the side menu. Wi-Fi options from the side menu include toggling the Wi-Fi on/off, disconnecting and forgetting networks if needed.

My Palette3 Pro doesn't seem to show up in Canvas even though the front panel and web interface of the device show that it is connected to the Internet and Canvas. How do I get Canvas to recognize that it is on ?

We have a small lab here and typically shut down the printer and peripherals overnight when they're not being used. If the Palette is back on and reports that it's registered, it seems like Canvas should be able to detect that.

I have the pallet pro 3 connected to the ethernet cord how do I know the connection is working? Also I have the pallet connected to a 3D printer with a double USB however the USB isn't sensed for some odd reason and I've checked with different double USB cords so the cord isn't whats malfunctioning in this situation.

Hi Aaron,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Can you send us an email to support@mosaicmanufacturing.com with more information on what 3D printer you are trying to connect palette to and pictures of your current setup and I'd be more than happy to assist you with troubleshooting this issue.

hello

I have updated my printer to a k1

I use

1. Accesory mode

2.m Slic3r Canvas

3. Creality k1

The problem is that i set speed at first layer at 30 . But the transition tower is not afftected

This means that at firest layer it will go to 200 speed causing adhesion problems.

If i set the transition tower speed to 50 , my pronts will be very slow during transition.

How can i set a first layer speed at Sli3er for the transition tower?

I have my Palette 3 Pro and it was working well. However, nothing has changed in my setup, and now Canvas cannot send slices directly to Palette 3 Pro. I'm able to connect and use the controls (move in the x/y/z, view camera, start print that's already on memory), but on any existing or new projects, when I click on Send to Palette, I get a red popup over the button saying "Device Error: 500".

I know 500 code means there's a server connection error, but there does seem to be a connection if I can control the printer and palette from canvas3d.io website. Please let me know if there's anything else you need to help me with this issue. Thank you!

Edit: My mistake, I can properly send previously working projects to the palette, but not any new projects.

Things I have tried:

Disconnecting and reconnecting Palette to Canvas Account

Clearing Cache and Cookies

Using a different web browser

Using a different wifi

When our district set up our Palette 3 Pro, we ran into some issues with internet and printer connections.

The Palette has not connected to our wifi or by use of ethernet connections.

I can not connect the Palette to our printers. I have attempted to create a connection to the following printers: Creator Pro and Dremel 3D45.

Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ron Aukerman - Reply

Hi Ron, at this time, we are unable to run in connected mode with either the Creator Pro or Dremel 3D45 printers. You would still be able to print with them in Accessory mode: mm3d.co/p3-accessory
