Error | Cause | Troubleshooting |
---|---|---|
Error 100 | Stepper skipping/slipping, proximity not working | Try the homing cam in X-ray mode. Additionally, please send a video of the cam motor skipping to us. |
Error 130 | 1. Caused by a spooling issue or the CAM. 2. The filament inputs can be retracted too far or filament can be removed from its input due to having the spoolholder too close to the unit or not centred. 3. Having the spoolholder too close can lead to tangled spools. | 1. Please consult this article in order to determine if the position of your spool holder relative to your Palette is correct. 2. If you find that the position of your spoolholder is correct, please follow the steps in the article above to conduct a x-ray mode test and take a photo of the proximity sensor, which can be sent to us. |
Error 131 | 1 .This error usually represents a real error with splicing, and occurs when Palette is aligning the outgoing filament into the splice-core. If the homing switch is not released this error occurs. 2. A broken splice is the most common problem, but it could be due to a splice core jam, or a bad end cut. | 1. Please inspect the splicing area (the ingoing/outgoing tubes, splice core, etc.) for any abnormalities. 2. If you find there are no issues, please send us a photo/video of your Palette for further troubleshooting. Please do not remove any filament, as we need to see the unit in its failed state in order to accurately assess the error. |
Error 140 - 150 | Caused by an invalid mcfx/mafx file. | Please send us the file that you are attempting to print, so that we can inspect it. |

Please try using a different USB. 2. Reformat your drive with the following settings: - Capacity: 7.49 GB, File system: FAT (Default), Allocation unit size: 4096 bytes 3. If you find these steps do not help, please send us the file you are attempting to print for further troubleshooting. |
Intermittent Bad Splice | If you are finding that you have a bad splice (it is necking/bulging) after many good splices, this issue could be due to various reasons such as your splice tune settings, damage to the splice core, etc. | 1. Please conduct splice tuning in order to find the optimal heating, cooling and compression factors for the filament you are using with your Palette. Steps on how to do this can be found here. 2. Check the splice core for damage: - Consult step one of this guide to remove your splice core for inspecting. - Check for POGO collapse, these are the metal prongs located on the bottom of your splice core. If they are no longer springy, there is damage. Please contact us to send you a new one. 3. If you are still experiencing random bad splices, please contact us and include: - A photo of the splices and your printer set-up - Your splice tune settings |

If you are still experiencing this problem please contact us and include: - A photo of your printer set-up - A video of your Palette loading filament |

Will palette 3 pro with with Neptune 4 max? It is not connecting to my printer trying to troubleshoot.
Nate - Reply
Hi Nate, we haven't tested the Neptune 4 in Connected mode, which type of firmware does it run?

I got an error 136, something about buffer error, but no where do I see those error codes listed on the site nor do I see what the cause was, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rene, this is related to an issue with run-out detection. Under Settings, what is your current Filament run-out detection set to?
Jonny Yeu -
I was using Mutispool print without printer connected before and palette stopped when the buffer was full.
Now when I am entering Multispool print mode, Palette keeps extruding no matter if the buffer is full.
I checked all switches in Xray mode, also the encoder working fine.I tried resetting, also reflashing firmware, but still same error.
Palette will empty the first input spool completely and either it will jam or the bowden will loose from the printer and there will lay 1 spool on the floor.
How can I get Palette to stop when buffer is full again?
NPC Printing - Reply
Just to check, are you printing "With Printer" or "Without Printer"?

Hi
My setup is in connected mode ,
I didn’t try the buffer in x ray. I will try next time

My palette 3 pro freezes during print and the extruder keeps on pulling the filament
Rene de Wit - Reply
Hey Rene, is your setup in Connected mode? Also, is your buffer switch responsive in X-Ray mode?

Does anyone know why my printer won't print? The print screen opens and the remaining time shows 0, but the progress bar is always at 25%. The time on the progress bar is random and counts up. Sometimes it starts at 24 minutes then goes up every minute, but the bar never moves and nothing ever prints. I need some help.

Hi Miguel, it sounds like your printer is not feeding filament. Would you be able to share a video of the issue with support@mosaicmfg.com?

I keep getting ping errors during print that stop the print, I even set up a print without any splices in Prusa 2.6 Alpha 6 and P2PP and it still stopped for pings. I am not sure what is going on. I am using Ender 5S1 with Ender-S1_HW_CR4NS200141C13_SW_V1.0.5_F401_International Edition firmware. for short prints it seems ok, but a print that measures in hours, will error out for pings. The last Multi color print I did, had good splices from the tool-head all the way to where the filament entered the P3P. It still stopped for ping issues I am stumped. I thought at first it was missing splices but the last two scenarios proved it was the P3P. I was able to take control of the printer manually and was able to feed filament no issue after the print stopped with no splices. Please help!

Hi Allan, sorry to hear that you're having these issues. Would you mind sharing some more information with our team?
- Are you receiving the ping error about them dropping below 50%?
- What are your splice tuning settings? If you have calipers, can you measure before, on, and after a splice and share this with us?
- In X-ray mode, is your encoder responsive?
You can send you answers to support@mosaicmfg.com and we'd be happy to help.

Add Klipper Connected support like the 2 had.
Add Webcam support.
Add octoprint support like previous models had, or release your software source to developers so they can do it for you.
Add support so slicers like Prusa slicer & SuperSlicer can send files directly to the Palette and connected printer like previous models could.
Basically grab the features list from the 2S Pro, and everything it had that the 3/Pro don't have, add back. Seriously. Next generation should go forward not backwards.
