Beds
Treat the surface of print beds well, avoid metal scrapers and wipe away finger oils with rubbing alcohol. Make sure the right surface treatments are applied for the correct filaments being used - see our Material Printing Guides.
For Element Array: To reduce friction between the bed surface and the bed assembly inside the chamber, it's important to keep the underside of the bed clean. The bed surface's underside can be washed with water and dried off before re-installing on Element.
Lubricating Linear Rails
Linear Rails should be lubricated periodically, at least once a year. This should be more regular for high temperature printing - typically every few months. See full instructions here.
Tightening Belts
Belts should be checked and tightened periodically, at least once a year, and also after any major maintenance operations. See full instructions here.
Densifier and Transition Container
Make sure to check and empty the transition container periodically. The densifier brushes will also need to be replaced periodically, or if damaged. See full instructions here.
Filament Dust
Filament dust can collect in Material Pod slots, in Palette X, and other areas of Element. It's good practice to clean this dust out periodically.
