Palette 2 Firmware Version 7.0.6 (July 23, 2019)
Improvements
- Palette can now splice to manually selected drives when a filament runout occurs. This can be enabled during the filament loading step of Palette's startup sequence, or by using the Change Filament feature. (Runout must be set to Splice to Next Drive in order to take advantage of this feature)

Palette 2 Firmware Version 5.0.4 (May 10, 2019)
Fixes
- Bug fixes (e.g. Saving values in Splice Tuning will no longer freeze the screen.)
Improvements
- Change filament function: in multi-spool mode and otherwise, when one drive runs out and is disabled, you can re-enable it by using the "Change Filament" function on Palette's screen during a print. You can also use the Change Filament function during other prints to create prints with more than four colors!
- Each Palette 2 now supports multiple Palette profiles to better support Multi-material printing (e.g. one profile for TPU, one for rigids)
- Advanced users: You can now manually change the Loading Offset and Historical Modifier values on Palette 2's screen.
- Reset your tube count to help keep track of when to change your Splice Tubes.
- Reduced ponging frequency in the first metre of printing
-----------------------------------------------
Palette 2 Firmware Version 4.2.3 (Mar 14, 2019)
Fixes
Fixes for two known bugs. Please use the updated Firmware updater (V1.1.2). If using an older version of the updater, please update to V1.1.2 before proceeding with the firmware update.
- Fixes a bug in other print modes (non-calibrated prints) that caused buffer to collapse or over-expand.
- Fixes a bug where incorrect colour was shown in the loading instructions when the first splice was not drive 1.
-----------------------------------------------
Palette 2 Firmware Version 4.0.3 (Feb 14, 2019)
Fixes
- Fixed a communication issue where Palette 2 would occasionally create an incorrect splice (wrong length or color) causing streaks in otherwise clean prints. (This may not fix all streaks, but it should eliminate many—especially for those printing with consistent machines.)
- Fixed a primary source of issues where printing with Palette 2 in Connected Mode could cause Palette 2 to freeze during "Initializing."
Improvements
- Improved the instructions during the process of starting a print. (Updated graphics, confirmation screens, new buttons to indicate "point of no return".)
-----------------------------------------------
Palette 2 Firmware Version 3.0.2 (Jan 15, 2019)

I pulled every USB device from the computer including the keyboard, swapped the micro usb cable out, and restarted everything a zillion times aaaaaand it just somehow worked. It must be very finicky about something, but I went so all-out I'm not sure which change actually got me through.

Is there an incantation on macOS that will get the firmware updater to see the Palette? It doesn't seem to be functional.

Are you guys providing the new features mentioned on the Feb 2, 2022 update video. They made it sound like we would be getting some of those new features.

Hi Jason, the update video refers to P3 (Palette 3 Firmware Releases), we don’t have any plans for a P2 firmware update at this time.

hi, I started pallets with Mac and as he was starting the download, he gave me a mistake, and now he's telling me he can't find pallets, so now it doesn't turn on (dead pallets)

Hi Stefano, if your screen does not turn on following an attempted firmware update, please follow the instructions here if you have a non-S Unit, or the instructions here if you have an S unit. If you have any questions about the steps, please reach out to us at support@mosaicmfg.com.
