Introduction
How to connect a webcam to Palette and use camera view on Canvas
-
-
From Palette 3's menu, go to Settings > Camera.
-
Connect the webcam to Palette via USB using the USB ports on the IO board of Palette
-
When the webcam is connected it will indicate Camera connected on Palette's screen
-
-
-
On Palette's screen click Enable streaming to Canvas. Palette must be connected to wifi to stream to Canvas
-
On Canvas, click Devices and select Palette 3 under My Devices
-
My Devices > Status and Controls
-
Under Status and Controls, click on the Camera tab to see webcam view

…thank you for the directions.
However:
- WIFI is not necessary, an ethernet-connection works fine
- ‘My Devices > Settings and Controls’ means obviously: double-click your device-entry under ‘My Devices’
- only if the indication on the Palette 3 Pro-screen is red (like: error) it does stream to Canvas; if the indication is black and has a black dot in the radio-button (which in all other interfaces i know means ‘enabled’) streaming is actually (still) disabled!
If you connect to the web client, you don’t see the webcam.
I'm also seeing this problem. Palette3 Pro shows a webcam connected, but there is no video showing up.
