Printer Compatibility with Palette
Please refer to the following table to check your printer's compatibility with Palette 3. Palette has 3 requirements for compatibility: accepts non-proprietary filament which is 1.75 mm in diameter, recognizes files sliced in Slic3r/PrusaSlicer or CANVAS, and has open access to filament feed. If your printer is not listed in the table below, please reach out to support@mosaicmfg.com and we can confirm if it is compatible.
The CANVAS Hub (S) has two requirements for compatibility: a USB-B port and compatibility with OctoPrint - please check here if your printer is compatible with OctoPrint.

Does it work with ankermake m5c
Tommy - Reply
Hi Tommy,
Thank you for your interest in Palette! Regarding your question about Palette's compatibility with the Ankermake M5C I am happy to let you know that it is compatible.
Palette has three compatibility requirements for potential printers: They must use non-proprietary filament; the filament has to be 1.75mm in diameter; and it needs to be compatible with Canvas or PrusaSlicer, if you are using the P2PP plugin - Please note: Palette can only be used with these two slicers.

Does it work with k1max
William Arrington - Reply
Hi William,
I am happy to inform you that Creality's K1 Max is compatible with Palette however, because it does run on Klipper it is only compatible with Accessory Mode. In accessory mode, palette’s splicing and the printer’s execution of the G-Code are separate. A file is sent to Palette to create splices, while the G-Code is sent to the printer using a compatible method or storage device (e.g. over WiFi, USB drive, microSD/SD card).

Is Palette 3 Pro compatible with Anker's Ankermake M5 In Connected Mode?
Tyler - Reply
Hey Tyler, we haven't been able to test this specific combination, but based on the specs, it does look to be compatible at least in Accessory mode.
Jonny Yeu -
The issue is that the USB port is in a mode to only accept usb devices it reads and a display (specifically at least the M5C for the display). Both do not work with solutions that allow for pausing, unless it has been physically verified. It is likely the ability to gcode pause the device would be unrecognized due to it wouldn’t communicate with anything other than specified. The Mosiac line would likely not work unless verified with the manufacturer. My opinion of this is from upon further research with other solutions. This is only my opinion and is not an official answer. Your mileage may vary.

Hi @crusher17, the specifications for both of these printers look to be compatible. I would recommend creating a printer profile in Canvas3d.io to become familiar with slicing for Palette, and to test print quality in single color.

Ever thought about trying to make it work with Printers with belts like the Infinity3D so we can do some printing farms
Snake - Reply
Sadly I don’t have a 3D printer….. Yet…. It’s one of my short term goals to clean out my back room that is currently acting like a storage room and making that my 3D printer room. I’d like something where I wanna print multiple colors (cause I SUCK at art so I’m not a good painter) which is why I’m here and something can auto print the same thing over and over again cause I got some young cousins and you probably know how kids are. As soon as one gets something all of them want it lol
Snake -
Thanks for sharing! We haven’t tested with this printer in the past, but it seems that we could be compatible. If you have this printer, you could try and process a file from Canvas to see if it would read the GCode properly.
Jonny Yeu -
But the Infinity3D isn’t like your average belt printer. it HAS the option to do that 45 degree printing but you don’t have to. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luGLYK4V...
Snake -
Currently, the restriction is on the software side of things as were unable to create a transition tower on belt style printers. However, you would be able to use non-calibrated style prints like Random, Pattern, Gradient, and Multi-Spool mode with belt printers.
Jonny Yeu -
Can you confirm the compability with an Ender 3 S1? It is significantly different that previous Ender 3’s. Also can you comment on the compatibility on a QIDI i-fast? I understand it would only work with one nozzle if it does.

Hi @andy, it looks to be compatible with regards to the material diameter and file output used. One item to consider is if there is a location on the filament feed or extruder, where an extruder clip for Palette can be attached. A PTFE tube is connected between Palette and the extruder during printing. We provide a clip for this tube to stay secure, or one can be designed for the printer following these guidelines.
