v1.4

Minor Versionm

by Adalyn Ordono

    • This will measure the distance of the hot tool to your splice area, and an adjustment to this distance can compress the filament splice. This is located via the Palette/Palette+ menu, Calibration > Splicer Distance.

    • In the Chroma software, go to Profiles > Material Profiles, where you can adjust the time the hot tool splices and the pressure placed between filaments.

    • For thicker splices, we would recommend raising the heat factor (increasing the amount of time the hot tool touches the filament) and lowering the compression, and vice versa for thinner slices. We have more information on Heat and Compression Factors here.
