Video Overview
-
-
Remove the screen cover by lifting the snap-fit sides.
-
First remove the top side. Then the bottom side will easily come off.
-
There are six snap-fits holding it in place.
-
Remove the bottom acrylic ingoing drive cover.
-
Undo the two thumbscrews to remove cover.
-
Check for belt damage by manually rotating the ingoing drive gear.
-
Rotate the drive gear while looking at the belt for visual damage.
-
-
-
Using the provided Torx screwdriver, remove the 4 screws on each corner of the substructure.
-
Remove the IO plate cover from the unit, by pulling the tab on the Ethernet port. The IO plate cover is snap-fit to the unit and can be placed back easily.
-
Gently lift and remove the substructure from the bottom casing.
-
-
-
Flip substructure so that the screen is on the bottom, and the electronics are facing up. Using the torx screwdriver provided, undo CAM bracket screws.
-
Black screws will release the bracket.
-
Silver screws will release the CAM from the bracket.
-
-
-
Disconnect the ingoing wire motor connector.
-
Pull on the connector to disconnect it from the motor.
-
Flip the unit over and undo the two screws keeping the motor in place.
-
With the screws undone the motor will become released. Hold the motor when flipping the substructure.
-
-
-
Remove the bottom acrylic cover holding the ingoing drive in place.
-
Remove the two screws holding the right end of the ingoing drive. This will provide more slack to install the new belt.
-
The CAM assembly below will release - there is a large follower piece, small cap and spring.
-
-
-
Once the belt is around the ingoing drive sprocket, the ingoing motor can be reinstalled. Flip the unit upside for these next set of steps.
-
Insert the motor sprocket into the belt. Align the motor's body into place.
-
Make sure the connector is facing the side with the fan.
-
-
-
Once the ingoing belt is around both the ingoing drive sprocket and motor sprocket , the screws for the motor can be secured back into place. The belt should now be taut.
-
-
-
Flip the unit over again to begin reassembling the CAM caps.
-
The follower cap has two notches on its bottom side, these notches sit on top of the bearing.
-
Next, place the spring in the middle.
-
Place spring cap on top.
-
-
-
Support the re-assembled CAM caps with your hand to hold it in place.
-
Insert the long screws from above and tighten to secure the CAM assembly from the last step.
-
-
-
Flip the unit back to face the bottom. Reassemble bracket, putting black screws back on diagonals half tightened.
-
Once the screws are half tightened, you should see a small acrylic end from the two CAM caps, and two holes on the bracket. Gently position and push the bracket over these acrylic ends, before re-inserting the remaining silver screws to hold them in place.
-
Proceed with returning the substructure to the bottom casing by replacing the four screws on each corner, and then place back the IO board and screen covers.
