Hi Russ, would you mind sharing one of these projects with me (http://mm3d.co/canvas-sharing)? You can send it to my e-mail if you'd prefer (jonny@mosaicmfg.com).

So i unchecked the Comments option in the Firmware settings and the print started...however it didn't quite finish and had a Filament Run out error towards the end of the print

Hey Russ, there's a few things to check:

    • If you haven't already, please calibrate your extruder - https://mattshub.com/blog/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration
    • Did you receive any pings/pongs from this print? If you have a Hub, this is under the P2 tab in OctoPrint, and if you don't you would find this info on Palette's screen during a print by selecting Menu > Statistics > Ping/Pong offsets.
    • Can you share a picture of the bottom of your transition tower with us?

Here is the photo of the bottom of the print

Not sure about the Pings...i do not have a hub setup yet, nor do i have octo print.  I've had the splicer on a few times since then just trying to print random color mixes so not sure if the info is still on the device?

Hey Russ, thanks for sharing. There's a few things that I'd ask you to complete:

    • Please factory reset your Palette and re-run calibration (http://mm3d.co/calibration-troubleshooting). The bottom of the transition tower should show the first transition about 30-40% of the way into the tower, so please ensure that you're loading filament right until you see any color appear:
    • Here's a guide on what to look for on the keychain: http://mm3d.co/newkeychain-troubleshooting
    • To find the pings and pongs without a Hub, you'll need to check Palette's screen during a print by selecting the Menu button, then Statistics > Ping/Pong offsets. Please note that these values will be not be accessible after a print is completed.
    • Once that's all done, please re-share pictures of your keychain and tower and pings/pongs if possible.
