Hey Craig, it sounds like inconsistent splicing may have caused the issue that you're seeing. What are your Splice Tuning settings (http://mm3d.co/p2splice-tuning)? If you're not getting consistent splices, it could cause your Pings to fluctuate from 96% to over 100%. I would also check that the filament path from Palette to your printer is constrained using our outgoing tubing, as this helps to ensure that a consistent amount of filament is being fed to your printer throughout a print. Lastly, if you are using older filament, we recommend dehydrating the spool before use as this will help the filament be less brittle.

Higher pings basically means that your printer is using more filament than expected, so this could be causing this issue. Do you have a list of your pings from this or previous prints? If not, would you be able to run another print and share the pings/pongs with us? Pictures of your print and setup would also be helpful.

yes I wasn't able to save the pings from this print, because the palette lost connection to the canvas hub after I clicked on finish print for some reason.    I do think I have some from other prints that I can send.  I do have it connected via the tube from the palette to the printer.  The spools I used were just opened for this print so I don't think it was that.  I will look at the splice tuning settings.  I will send the ping settings I do have for the prints that worked to the email address that I saw this link in.

The splices seem ok.  I haven't adjusted the settings on it from the default settings on the palette 2.  I will splice some more tonight and look at them to see if I notice they are weak.  I did have a print that I canceled earlier, and the splices from it seemed to be the correct size.  They didn't appear to be weak, but what you say may have happened.  Like I said I will look at some tonight or tomorrow, and measure them.  Thanks again.
