Let me start out by saying that I already set the Bowden length in Canvas. It was at 570mm. The print did not finish so I estimated how short it was. I upped it to 580 and still had an issue. I then upped it to 590 and it worked one time but my splices were off so I changed some stuff, factory reset my Palette 2S Pro then calibrated the palette via the settings menu. I also upped the Bowden length in Canvas to 600 and it still was too short. I put a piece of filament in the printer and made it extrude so I knew it was in the nozzle then I marked it about 60mm before the gear in my extruder and measured 620mm total length so I put that in Canvas as my Bowden length. This last print was 25mm short. I measured that by feeding another piece of filament in at the end of the print so it would actually complete printing then marked it at the gear after the print was done and it fed 25mm into the Bowden tube before ending the print.
Each time I change the length I reslice the files. I've printed 9 key chains and not once has all 3 purges been correct and only once has it cut the filament long enough. If I'm lucky 2 of them have the transition in the middle of the purge, but either the transition is too early or too late. I've factory reset it multiple times and calibrated it 3 times. I have checked my extruder calibration and it extrudes 100mm when I tell it to.
I've had this printer for a couple of years at least and it prints great so I know the printer is not the issue.
Why isn't Canvas paying attention to my Bowden length even though I over estimated on it?
