Hey Gomez, thanks for this information, sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. Please feel free to e-mail us the GCode file (support@mosaicmfg.com), but we had a few questions:

    • Does the buffer remain the same size over multiple attempts?
    • Between attempts, are you clearing filament from your unit? This could be due to filament being leftover around the encoder, causing the calibration to be slightly off.
    • Does the buffer change size after starting the print? Or did it try and maintain the same buffer size throughout the first layer?
    • Does a splice occur right before Palette prompts you to load filament into your extruder?

    Tried again.
Just realized I get the first 2 pings (48% and 24%).

Which of course I have not seen in any of my previous prints.

Any help would be wonderful. Thanks!

    Hi Jon,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm sending the G-code by mail in case it helps.

I'm answering your questions below, but I just want to share an additional observation I've made with the last two attempts.

I'm using PVA for raft and suppot interface layers, and single color PLA for the rest of the print.

It is the first time I try to use PVA, it would seem that it is when PVA is being processed by Palette than the buffer is consumed. As if the printer feeder unit has no problem with PVA but Palette units did not processed the same length. Might that be the case?

I've tried to virify my observation by printing with the raft on PLA and support interface on PVA. The beginning of the print seemed correct, but on the second layer as soon as PVA entered Palette the buffer was again consumed...

    Regarding the questions:

    • Does the buffer remain the same size over multiple attempts?
    • Yes it seems pretty consistent when I have the same settings on Canvas

    • Between attempts, are you clearing filament from your unit? This could be due to filament being leftover around the encoder, causing the calibration to be slightly off.
    • Yes I clean it everywhere
    • Does the buffer change size after starting the print? Or did it try and maintain the same buffer size throughout the first layer?
    • Yes, it does start longer and is consumed as it prints
    • Does a splice occur right before Palette prompts you to load filament into your extruder?
    • I've tried several support/raft/layer height settngs, This may have happened, but not all the attempts.

Hey Gomez, thanks for sending the e-mail, but there wasn't a file attached. Would you mind re-sending?
