are you referring to Chroma, or on the Palette 2? I remember being told that that setting in Chroma was for the measurement of the distance from where the filament feeds into the extruder until it hits the nozzle.

    Hi all,

You're both correct! Palette 2's tube length is specified directly on the device and does not affect Chroma's logic at all. It just affects the Loading Offset, which is stored internally on P2. Bowden Tube Length, on the other hand, indeed specifies the distance from the extruder's gear (where the filament is gripped) to the tip of the nozzle. Thus if you're switching Palette tubes without making any other changes to your extruder, you only need to adjust this on Palette.

    Cheers,
    Brandon

I just made my first print using Palette 2, and I found out, that the length of the Bowden tube on my printer must be measured from the tip of the hot end to the entrance of the stepper + 1 cm. This is the best way to ensure, that the remaining filament can be removed after print.

I figured it out. I needed to create a new profile in Chroma, and then on the first print it walked me through the setup again, and it's working properly now. :) thanks for the input folks!
