Thin top layers when using Chroma.

    Hey Anthony, Chroma wouldn't change any GCode that would affect the top layers as it only adds commands for transitions and for calibration (pinging signatures). I would check that the settings in Simplify3D for each extruder are the same. If you're still experiencing issues, please send us your Factory File (support@mosaicmfg.com) and we can examine possible reasons for the quality differences.

    my guess would be that it has to do with the retraction settings, and going back and forth between the transition tower and the print. I'm using the same profile on each extruder. i'll  try turning down the retraction a bit, if it doesn't help, i'll send over the factory file. thanks!

    does chroma add it's own retraction specs for going back and forth between the transition tower?

    You can choose to add your own retractions in Chroma. If you set this to automatic, it will use the retraction settings that are set in your slicer:
