This is speculation, but I believe it may be related to the AutoConnect option in the Palette 2 plugin.  When I reinstalled the plugins, everything was fine until I ran into a scenario where I had to turn off the Palette 2 due to a failed print.  Then I started seeing those Omega: read in line: corrupted log messages.  When I disabled the option, those messages stopped.  What may be happening is the plugin is trying to re-connect to the Palette and reading/writing to each of the Pi USB serial ports and ultimately connecting to the port that the printer itself is connected to and corrupting that stream.  Maybe an option to manually specify a specific USB port that the palette is hooked up to (similar to the option for printers in Octoprint) would resolve this.
