Wrong material profile selection in Chroma?

    Hi Roger,

You've found a bug, but it's basically just visual—the correct splice settings should be used.

    Some elaboration:

To save space in the toolbar, the material's type is displayed rather than the full name. The bug is that the default TPU profile was misclassified as being of type PETG, rather than of type TPU. This may also show up as PETG on Palette's screen when directing you to load filaments. However, the splice settings are based on the profile being used, rather than the material type (i.e. you can have more than one material profile with the same material type).

This will be addressed in the next update, but to fix this issue you can do the following:

    1. Quit Chroma
    2. Navigate to Chroma's config directory
      - Mac: <home folder>/Library/Application Support/Chroma
      - Windows: <drive>\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Chroma
    3. Open materials-2.yml in a text editor
    4. Search for any lines containing "Default TPU" where the next line is "type: PETG" and change to "type: TPU"
    5. Re-launch Chroma

Hope that clarifies! Let us know if you run into trouble.

    Cheers,
    Brandon

Hmm, it seems that there is a comment added to this topic, but i cannot see the text typed. I only see my own post.

Does the 'Comments' counter display the wrong value (1 instead of 0), or was an empty comment added?

EDIT: I see by adding this comment, the 'comments' counter was not incremented. So i suppose it previously displayed the wrong value.

Anyway, i would appreciate it when my original question about the GUI-issue would be answered.

    Hi Roger,

Sorry about that—I responded to this yesterday but for some reason my post required approval. Should be visible now!
