With Chroma V3.1 and newer, you will now have the option of creating files for your Palette 2 (Pro) along with the Palette/Palette+ capabilities offered in the past. This would only be used if you would prefer to use one of our supported slicers (Simplify3D, Cura, KISSlicer, Slic3r) instead of using CANVAS. Please note: as CANVAS is capable of slicing and creating print files for your Palette and printer, you would not need to use Chroma or another slicer in combination with CANVAS.
Creating a new Printer Profile
When you first create a printer profile for Chroma, you will now have the option to choose between Palette/Palette 2 and Palette 2 (Pro).
- In Chroma, select Profiles > Printer Profiles > New Profile
- Once you've selected your printer, you'll need to select your Palette Type.
- If Palette 2 (Pro) is selected, you'll be able to select if a CANVAS Hub is connected (Connected Mode) or if you're using your Palette without a CANVAS Hub (Accessory Mode).
Editing your printer profile
- In Chroma, select Profiles > Printer Profiles > Edit for your printer.
- Select the Palette tab.
- You'll be able to select the Palette Type. If Palette 2 (Pro) is selected, you'll be able to select if a CANVAS Hub is connected (Connected Mode) or if you're using your Palette without a CANVAS Hub (Accessory Mode).
Once this is set, Chroma will now create files for your printer and Palette 2 (Pro).

This looks great Jonny! When will you be posting v3.1 for download?
Thanks! We'll have the update ready by the end of the week. Chroma will prompt you to update once everything is ready.
Hello, i've been trying the 2 color keychain using chroma to slice up my gcode from cura, and i've had mixed results, after a few prints, i tried moving to a 4 color mario print ya'll have on thingiverse, and i just can't get any of the colors to work right. so i think my offsets really far off.
however when i went back to chroma to do another keychain, i noticed that the default settings that start up are now gone, since i've fiddled with them and experimented, where is the/ is there a "reset to default" button anywhere that will reset the prime tower settings to what it was when i first installed?
much appreciated! this thing is such a fun journey!
