The answer would depend on the types of filament that you're trying to splice. We've been able to splice special PLA filament like colorFabb bronzeFill, Polymaker PolyWood, and Functionalize F-Electric (mm3d.co/brittle), but we would suggest that you play around with Splice Tuning when beginning to print with any new filaments on Palette 2.
If you're running into issues with brittle filament while printing, we would suggest drying out your filament before printing. You can do this by placing your spools in an oven (160-180°F, 70-80°C for 4-6 hours) and then placing them in an airtight container. You can also place silica or dry rice in your container as a desiccant to absorb any additional moisture.
