Please read all safety instructions and familiarize yourself with Palette™/Palette+™ (hereinafter referred to as “Palette”) prior to setup and use. Failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in fire, equipment damage, property damage, and/or personal injury.
We want to ensure that all of our Palette users have the most enjoyable and safe experience possible, and so we would appreciate you taking the time to review some of the safety highlights below:
- Before every use, inspect Palette for any misalignments, bending, breakage of parts, or any other evidence that there may be an issue with Palette’s operation. Do not touch the hot tool until it has cooled down to at least 40⁰C (104⁰F). Set up Palette in a well ventilated area. Provide at least 4 inches of unobstructed area around Palette. Do not reach inside Palette while it is operating. Do not leave Palette unattended during operation.
- Palette is designed to be used in a horizontal orientation resting on all 4 rubber feet. Do not place Palette on its top face as this may damage the LCD screen. Do not place Palette on the outgoing face as this may damage the outgoing Teflon tube, or scroll wheel wire. Do not block any vents on Palette.
- Palette was designed for use with PLA filaments. Use of other filaments may result in performance issues and/or equipment damage. Do not create illegal or inappropriate objects with Palette. Ensure small objects (including filament segments and spare parts) are not accessible to young children. Do not use Palette to create objects intended for use with high power electrical components or housings of such components. Do not modify Palette or modify factory settings. Making such modifications may result in performance reduction, equipment damage, and can void the regulatory compliance of Palette.
- Do not expose Palette to temperatures exceeding 70⁰C (158⁰F). Palette is intended to operate at room temperature between 16-28⁰C (60-82⁰F). Do not move or bump Palette during operation. Do not change filament inputs during operation unless instructed to by the LCD screen. Ensure there is a sufficient amount of filament loaded into each input before starting a print process. If Palette runs out of filament during a print process it can cause performance issues and/or equipment damage.
- Avoid scratching the LCD screen when handling Palette. Use extra care when removing debris and or filament build up from Palette. Do not pull or push filament into or out of Palette when it is powered on unless instructed to by the LCD screen. When removing filament from Palette when it is off, do so very slowly and carefully. Pulling the filament out too rapidly can cause equipment damage.
- In order to reduce vibration and noise, ensure Palette is operated on a flat surface, and that all four of its lower foot pads are touching the flat surface.
