Introduction
The prints after completing calibration are key in improving your printer profile on Palette. By examining pings from each completed print and visually examining the print for how well colors were maintained during calibration, you can improve your prints by choosing to save or ignore the print data. The first 3-5 prints after calibration are key to improving the printer profile for future prints. After your printer profile is "tuned" with Palette, you don't have to save or ignore the calibration data after each print.
Save Print Data
If the colors on the print are mostly correct (you may see a few layers incorrect) and if pings appear to be consistent, please save the print data. For example, if the pings only fluctuate 2-3% during the print, save the data. Or, if you see the pings stay consistent at a certain percentage, you may also save the data. By saving the data, you will improve the HM (historical modifier) for your printer profile, and future prints.
Ignore Print Data
If the colors on the print are incorrect throughout the print, and if the pings vary greatly in value, please ignore the print data. For example, if you see pings fluctuating by more than 5% throughout the print, or if you have a lot of missed pings, ignore the data. By ignoring the data, your HM in your printer profile will not be affected.
If the calibration of your prints continue to be poor, please factory reset your Palette and re-run the calibration process.
