With the following steps we will be switching the feeder idler drive arm and ingoing eyelet.
a) Fully loosen the tension on the extruder spring to ensure that when the extruder casing is removed it does not pop out.
b) Remove the extruder top casing by unscrewing the 4 screws securing it. Take care to keep the pieces in the same place internally.
c) Gently remove the spring, white drive arm, and metal eyelet from the assembly.
d) Clean off any debris on the extruder gear which may have accumulated. Remove the metal eyelet at the input of the extruder and the original white extruder arm. Store both in a safe place as you will not need it when using this 1.75mm conversion kit.
e) Slide the provided black aluminum drive arm and original filament engagement piece into the assembly in place.
f) Reinstall the spring and any other components which may have fallen out or moved out of place.
g) Slide the provided black aluminum ingoing clip into the assembly and verify that the original white collet has been placed at the outgoing of the extruder assembly.
h) Reassemble the top cover by tightening the 4 screws.
i) Tighten the idler arm spring tensioner to ½ using the tension indicator on the right side of the filament feeder.
j) The new ingoing clip will bypass the filament sensor and will need to be disabled. Select Settings icon > Flow sensor > On/Off toggle > Off
