Plastic Residue in Splicer Area

This page is for when you experience a jam in the splicer section of Palette, leading to skipping drives, a plastic goopy mess in the splicing area, and an overall failure of a print.
This is caused because, very occasionally, excessive plastic can build up on the hot tool and get stuck or pulled into the Teflon channel. This plastic buildup can be excessive, and pulled into the machined channel area. When this happens, the plastic may cause the filament to not be able to be driven forward, given the volume of plastic that is trying to be pulled through.
If the splicer tries to close multiple times on a jammed splice, it has the potential to melt a mess of plastic in this area.
