Moving the Cutter Blade and Drives
How to manually control Palette 2's cutter wheel and ingoing drives.
Palette 2 allows you to manually move specific components of its hardware for testing and maintenance purposes.
Palette Motion
Motion: Cut
This action will cause Palette's cutter to rotate. Please avoid having any objects (including your fingers!) around the cutter blade while moving the cutter.
- Turn on Palette 2 and select Control.
- Select Motion. With the Palette option highlighted, select Cut.
- This will cause the cutter blade to rotate until triggering the homing switch at which point it will return to its original position.
- Once complete, select Back to return to the home screen.
Motion: Drives
Moving the ingoing and outgoing motors of Palette will cause filament to feed forwards and backwards through Palette's filament path. This can help to clear the path of any jams or remnants of filament. If you have the acrylic cover off of the drives when moving the ingoing and outgoing motors, please be aware of possible pinch points in the motor gears.
- Turn on Palette 2 and select Control.
- Select Motion. With the Palette option highlighted, select Drives.
- Select a drive that you would like to move and Palette 2 will continuously move the drive in a forwards or backwards direction (up or down arrow).
- Once complete, select Back to return to the home screen.
Printer Motion
Bed (Coming soon)
- Turn on Palette 2 and select Control.
- Select Motion. With the Printer option highlighted, select X/Y to move your bed horizontally along the X- and Y-axis, or Z to move the bed vertically along the Z-axis ''''by increments of 0.1 mm, 1 mm, or 10 mm.

My cut wheel continues to spin and will not stop. The cut wheel homing switch continues to say not pressed in settings. Is this a replaceable part?
