Device Connection Troubleshooting
Activating Canvas Hub from Octoprint to Canvas
I don’t see an option to get an activation code.
Please check that the Canvas plugin has been updated to version 3.0.0.
My device in Canvas is showing a yellow light.
This indicates that your Canvas account was successfully linked, but the device may be offline. Visit Octoprint to check that the hub device is connected to a WiFi network from Settings > Network Connection.
Connecting to Printer and Palette
I can’t see where or how to connect to either my printer or Palette.
After you have created a setup, double click on it to view the controls. If your hub device shown has an arrow button next to it, click on it to activate the device. You should see a USB button appear between the hub and your printer and/or Palette connection
I’m having trouble connecting to my printer and Palette.
Please try:
- Restarting Octoprint
- Powercycle printer or Palette
- Connect to each device’s port by manually selecting it
If the above doesn’t resolve the issue, please visit Octoprint and send the mosaic.log and Octoprint.log (Settings > Logging) to support@mosaicmfg.com

Please check that the Canvas plugin has been updated to version 3.0.0. How about explaining how to do that.

You have already totally lost me… It has taken me 2+ years to get this printer (Folger Tech FT6) built (and many hours of my neighbor that understands the wiring and circuit boards helping me (ok he mostly just did these things by himself because I asked too many question and it was obviously a distraction) … the instructions for the printer provided were not up to date with the circuit board and touchscreen that shipped with it, and I was totally overwhelmed when I tried to figure it out on my own. (got in way over my head)
I know octoprint was loaded/installed… but that was before he had figured out the set up step that involved some super huge list of parameters and flags… and now the printers display is in Text only mode, and I just don’t know.
