It’s packed up and ready to be listed on eBay. I read through all your other messages, your lengthy tutorials, and other people’s posts here and on Reddit. I’ve fixed and changed so many times I’m done… this thing should work, and shouldn’t take this much calibration and tweaking. I understand this is an add-on item that is made to work with a wide variety of printers, but when the pallet is running the printer on your code and if things are measured correctly and splices are tuned. It should work, it shouldn’t be this hard. How do you expect people new to printing to ever pick this up. This is a wide-spread issue. And sounds like I should have bought the 2 instead of the 3pro. Based upon this experience, and reading about tons of others, I’m just getting the AMS and moving on…
Done that, made it longer, made it shorter, I ether get the wrong colors in the wrong places or it doesn’t finish. I’ve spent 60+ hours trying to dial this thing in. I’ve been printing almost 10 years. Built printers, fixed printers, even build printers for others. I understand this stuff. Honestly, after reading all the forums, I’m getting rid of this thing before I can’t…
Printing 4 colors with the 3pro, I cannot get a print to finish completely. It runs out of filament before the print is done. It’s a 7 hour print, about 100mm X 100mm x 15mm, printing at 25mms. My splices are tuned, the purge block is set at 175 with a 60 transition target, the boden tube and offset is measured correctly. My colors look good, most of the time, still have a bleed issue going from dark to light, but I can fix that. Sometime in the last 5-10% or about 15minutes, it runs out of filament. Is there a way to add another 200mm or so of filament to the end of the line to ensure it finishes?
