That sounds like filament that needs drying A good peice of advice put the filament roll in a seal bag with some sillica and give it 48h at least to get a bit moister out If moister comes into the filament it enlarges slight beside that it becomes brittle so ‘disolves’ when stressed too much
Do u use 1.75 or 2.85 mm filament (its made for 1.75) beside that i do have some special filaments myself like a glow in the dark one which is a bit 1.75-1.78 in size keep in mind when it splices it might be a bit wider its a good recommendation to do some splice tuning for the fillament u wanna use to see if u can improve compression and heat. Personally i use 1.0.1 for all my fillaments and its working fine :)
i though it said every Plug and play works but im not entirely sure my Logitech cam is working fine (G920) (FullHD) i also tested it with a very cheap minicam from action store and even that one worked fine :) even the crap quality came through xD
what i did find out is after a certain amount of splices the accuracy starts to lower in the pings the pings might be lowering but as long as the print itself looks good i think there is nothing to worry about. mine was printing 98% until ping 17 then it lowered to 96% til 2 lays before the end then 94% at the end and i can say no quality drops it was still looking good. the device indeed has a flaw in this thats why i always try to print my big prints (with big changes like size or changes in a short period) into seperated projects or lower the print speed so that the palette has time to catch up. at least that did it for me. i hope this gives a bit of insight :)
Well i can answer a bit too if u hung up the device against a wall or its in a lower conn zone i did find out that the wifi chip in the palette is crap unless the connection is at least 80% strong it stutters continuesly. with me it staid excellent connection but a few minutes up and it fell away then back then away again. after placing a repeater next to it it works again normally so its the quality of the connection it receives i tested the connection power and with me at the device location it was 78% yet to low for it to propperly keep its connection., so in the end i wired it up..
the last firmware is broken for p3pro devices its recommended to go down to 22.02.09.0 *(prior update) strange enough indeed as told above when doing so it keeps updating every time you start up the pallete but what it does is reapplying the 22.02.09.0 update but it does work then!
