any idea if and when the function to switch colour at layer x is going to be available, i have eventually found a real life use for my palette 3 pro but it doesnt do what i need it to - its gathering dust !
I found the same issue to begin with until i read somewhere about the spacing.
I then cleared my dinning room table (which was a massive 8 foot long), i set the prusa up onside, the palette 3 pro around 2 foot away (making sure that the tube attached to the filament head could reach up, down, left, right, etc) and then placed the roll holder as far away as possible on the other side of the table (about 4 foot away).
Then as if by magic it worked, i believe - and i may be wrong in say this - it is to do with the palette unit feeding the filaments back out, if the filament reel is too close when it pushes it back out it can slip out of the guide and cause the 130 error !!
I have now got some amazing prints coming out of it, including a 2 foot mickey mouse - printed in colour, bucket load of waste of course but it so cool.
I so wanted to use this with my print mill - which is what i bought it for, sadly they not written the coding yet.
I bought my pallette 3 pro to use with the Cr-30 - print mill - has anyone modified the canvas to allow this as yet ? I dont use either anywhere as much as i should do as they wont talk.
After a good few months of having successful prints with the unit using usb and a prusia mk3s, i now want to try and use the printer i bought this for. the creality 3d print mill - whilst the software allows me to add that printer, i cant get it working - can you use an infinite printer with this unit ? I wanted to print my signs in differrent colours but i cant get the waste tower to work. Any help would be welcomed - dave@hestor.com - thanks - ps: great to see the new error codes list expanding, it does help.
Hoping this might help others who are having issues.
I was finding i had issues, up until i stumbled upon distance.
I now have success pretty much every time.
Set up your unit with at least 8 foot of distance - yes thats right 8 foot.
Place your rolls in the unit (roll holder), make sure this is around 4 foot away from the mosaic unit.
Then feed the filaments into the unit, i have found that the issue of the 130 errors are to do with when the unit backwards moves the filament, the filaments can hit each other and mean they tangle.
From the mosiac unit i have another two / three foot where the extruder tube then connects to the printer.
Good job for selotape - its the only way i can secure the tube to the printer - got to be a better way than that
But i am having some amazing prints now, and yes - its very clever .
Shame i have had a single success - the one sample key chain - thats ya lot.
the rest just constantly come up with errors - more often than not - filament not loading
the filament rolls are fine, they are positioned well, upright or flat.
i have the whole setup on a 12 foot table, be it that the last sample for some reason it has left gaping big holes in it but it was looking good.
the filament seems to slip out ?
its as if its rolling the filament back to much when it switches.
does make me no want to play with it.
i thougth maybe the model was too difficuilt.
and then everytime having to forcable remove the filemant thats left in it or unscrew the four screws to get the filament thats remaining inside as its snapped.
you should have much better examples, videos and guides.
