Hi Dave, I am not sure this will answer fully your question: in Canvas, select one of the Inputs in the Toolbox; then, a second toolbox appears, with colors, materials and three buttons : “+” to add materials “Splice settings” The button inbetween shows some kind of gradient. Click it: it will allow you to tune the transition length between colors. You can reduce it, and thus reduce the purge tower, and print with mixed colors.
I guess the menu for splice tuning is just for determining the right parameters, being just next to the Palette. (hint: when tuning splice settings, only input 1 and 2 are used, never the others). Once you have found the right parameters, report the values in Canvas : this will furthermore allow you to tune multimaterials transitions (PLA->PLA different from PLA->PVA and A->B different from B->A). This would be soooooo painful to do with the small touch screen.
