V1.2

Minor Versionm

by Frank Rupert Catapang

Introduction

Enabling Infill Transitioning will cause Chroma to divert material from the Transition Tower to the infill of the model (when possible). This helps reduce extra filament used for transitioning and decreases print times.

This will not add extra infill. As the model's infill increases, the size (and filament usage) of the transition tower will decrease (to a limit). Any transition material that cannot fit in the infill will be extruded on a (smaller) transition tower. This allows for a large reduction in overall filament usage depending on the size and density of the model; transition filament reductions can range from from less than 1% to more than 95%.

If you're using contrasting filaments, we would recommend increasing the number of perimeters and top/bottom layers in your print to help with any bleed or colour transition issues.

  1. Please go to Settings and check off "Attempt to use infill for transitioning filaments".
    • Please go to Settings and check off "Attempt to use infill for transitioning filaments".

    • Palette will still use a small transition tower in order to Ping properly.
