Stamping through the object

Hello everyone,

I'm currently experiencing the following problem:

I want to stamp an image onto a thin object. This also works, but gets an error when slicing. I suppose this is because the 3D object is too thin so that the colors on the back are not visible. I wouldn't care if the colors were just continuous, but I can't find a feature how to set this when stamping.

Does anyone here have an idea for me? The only way to solve it so far was by splitting it into different 3D objects and then putting them together in the slicer. But this is more complex and with the stamping tool it would be better of course.

Many thanks in advance.

With best regards

Tim

Hi @lykos! Thanks for posting this question. Can you please share more information about what you’re trying to accomplish with the stamp and how you expect how it to look on the model? Particularly, we’d like to know more about what you mean when you say “the colors on the back are not visible.”

You can imagine stamping to be like using a projector with light and an image. The stamp will display on the model based on how the camera is looking at the image against the model.

We would also like to know what error you received in Canvas. Please share any screenshots you may have of the error and how the stamp looks on the model. Thank you!
