Is there a way to force the purge tower to print first?

I have noticed that sometimes Chroma starts by printing the base of the purge tower first but other times it starts printing your object(s) first. Is there a way to always get Chroma to print the purge tower first? If not is that a feature that can be considered.

The reason I ask is if it were possible to start or completely print the first layer of the purge tower at the start of the print that purge any filament from the previous print, creating a cleaner print, and would save a bit of filament as well by not having to purge out the previous color manually.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey @rjs, thanks for reaching out. This is usually due to the start sequence having a toolchange command — normally, Chroma will “convert” the start sequence to use the same input as the start of the print, to eliminate that extra toolchange. Could you please send the GCode you imported into Chroma (not output file created by Chroma)? If you have trouble attaching it here, please send to
