Preparation of Colorizing 3d model
I am before buying a Palette. I wonder how can I streamline the creation process. Basically I would use palette to add colorized text to the model. (see attched image). The 3d Text has the same plane outside as the surrounding element. How I can prepare for this in my 3d application? (Rhino3d) Should I put the text part in separate layer? Or should I export the the text parts as separate stl files? What is most streamlined way? Is it possibble at all?
Is this a good question?
Where do you suggest I explore how to create a multi color STL?
And in the above example, wouldnt he be able to just paint the test?

@sworcester This is a great resource: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJpmPFCP...
It will show the basics of creating separate parts/models and then exporting them (in this case using Onshape - but it's similar in other applications). However, depending on the CAD software you would like to learn, there are other tutorials available that can walk you through the basics of modeling.
This is a pretty good starting place for Fusion 360 (seems to be a favourite, and it's free): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCoGArsj...
Hope that helps!
