Is there a way to do a filament pattern in connected mode?

I would like to do something like “Change filament every X layers“ or “Change filament every X milimeters of height.“


While in connected mode the Canvas Hub should be able to do this since it is able to ascertain what layer the print is on via the G-code. Is there any way to do this? I can’t find a way.

Hey @boogiewoo0, thanks for reaching out about this. You may be able to take advantage of the change filament feature for this. You can paint your models according to how you would like the coloured pattern to appear. Then, you can add pauses to prompt you to change filament at the appropriate spots. The instructions to do so can be found here. Hope that helps!
