2nd layer colours incorrect
Hi all, I’ve had my Palette 2SPro for no more than a couple of days so it’s all pretty new to me. I’ve been through the calibration 5 times now and cannot get a good result.
The model is a black square containing a green circle, a gold square and a white rectangle, the black surround should go right up to the coloured shapes.
The first layer was perfect, with the white rectangle being printed last, as two layers (the last section of the first layer and the first section of the second). But, as you can see from the transition tower there’s way too much white and this begins printing what should be the black perimeters of the shapes while the filament is still bright white. When I ejected the filament there was black already in the hot end, so it was close, but should have been coming through long before this. The transition to white did seem a bit short - as though there was too much of each colour being produced which eventually caused the overlap with the white.
Is there any obvious setting that might cause this? Calibration doesn’t seem to be working for me, but it feels like it’s just getting its lengths slightly wrong.
I’m so disappointed as when I saw the first print, first layer come out perfectly I thought it was going to work first time, but I’ve got no further since then and now feel like it could be a real struggle to get it working.
Is this a good question?
