Quality not as good as Prusa Slicer

Hi,

I own a Pallette 2S, I use multicolor for company logos in various mounting brackets för the IT industry, I run a farm of Prusa MK3Ss.

I am of course used to the fine results I get using PrusaSlicer, when I use Canvas slicer, I get various poor quality, I get “blops” randomly over the print from retractions (instead of in a line/row) and not in a corner inside the print as PrusaSlicer does.

Do you have a setting for such features?

Also and this is the biggest problem:

When I use e.g. 2 colors and where those 2 meet on a print, sometimes they do not line up and a gap apperar. Can I send some pictures to show you? How?

I can see the defect in the preview and despite I have selected a region in “paint” and in Fusion 360 I have made a “body” for that part to be in another color I can see in preview and in final print I get bad results.

How can ensure best possible quality print using the Pallette2S?

is there any way I can use PrusaSlicer and Pallette2S?

I really do like the Pallette2S but I must be able to produce good prints and I am selling the parts to customers.

Let me send you pics to show you what I mean.

Thanks

Regards

Hey @winther99, thanks for reaching out about this. Could you send comparison photos to alina@mosaicmfg.com so we can look into this further? In the mean time, you can use PrusaSlicer with Chroma, our free post-processor. I would also recommend checking out P2PP, which is an independently developed post-processing script that also allows you to use PrusaSlicer with Palette.

Do you provide a P2PP Printer Profile? (Usage with own risk)

I have something like “missing extrusion paths”!? This gaps I only have when I print with the Prusa MK3S and P3P connected with USB and File sliced in canvas.

I had to print several version of the parts - because of the fitting. - an they appear randomly on the parts - not always on the same place. (The six I´ve printed 4 times)

When I print it with prusa slicer with out P3P the surface is perfect.

Hey Stefan, this is a recent issue that we've seen with the FW V3.10 version of MK3. We're working on a fix currently, but the recommended action is to revert back to V3.9.3.

Is this also a problem because of the new MK3 firmware? - Both of the “stripes” are under the chin of a sheep. I printed 2 small and one big sheep at once. (for the white i need a longer transition distance to get it clear)

First I thought it was an error of the slicer - i zoomed into the 3d Model in Canvas but there was all white. I´m not sure.

Or is it a calibration Error? But then it would happend more often, or?

Hey Stefan, this looks more like a calibration issue. Did you receive any pings from this print? Also, what are your transition lengths and transition target set to?
