I setup on 5GHz network but need to switch it to my 2.4GHz network

Hello. I recently setup my Canvas Hub on my Google WiFi which has both 2.4 and 5GHz. Unfortunately, I was unaware that I could not force a 2.4GHz network to allow visibility to the Canvas Hub. I opted to setup an older router with a 2.4GHz network. I now need to reconfigure my Canvas Hub to get onto this new network. How can I accomplish this?

Hey @vtiaga, you can disconnect from your current network by going to Settings (wrench icon) -> Network Connection -> Disconnect. Now, when you power on your Hub, you should see its own Wi-Fi network appear in your list of networks (named xxxx-ch-canvas-hub, where xxxx is the serial number). Connect to this network, go to the Hub page (xxxx-ch-canvas-hub.local/), Settings (wrench icon) -> Network Connection -> Connect. Please connect to your new network, which is running on 2.4 GHz. Let me know if you have any questions about these steps! They were a quick summary of these instructions here.

Hi Alina, So I have done this, and I cannot log into the Hub once I set it to my 2.4 specific home network. Any suggestions? I have reflashed the micro-sd card in the Hub, restarted it. I am able to see the Hub's WiFi network, I go in to switch the Hub to my home network, Click enter and it states that it is switching and will reconnect, but it never does even after letting it sit for over an hour. I then cannot see the Hub's WiFi and I cannot log into the unit through any means...

After you connect to its home network (called abcd-ch-canvas-hub after the reset), can you try using its IP address to access the Hub page (instead of the web address)? You can use a simple IP scanner, such as angryip.org to find the IP address:

For CANVAS Hub: The IP Scan may display the hub's hostname as its serial number or Raspberry Pi foundation.

For CANVAS Hub S: The IP Scan may display the hub's hostname as Shenzhen Ogemray Technology Co.,Ltd.

Let me know if this works!

HI Alina. I used the angryip and was able to connect to the Hub. I updated the firmware and will now try to do all of the remaining connections :) Thank you for your help.
