Separate streaming camera window?

Is there a way to have just the raw streaming camera feed in a browser window? Is there a URL that can be used, or some other means to do this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Tim,

Apologies for the delay in answering your question! There are a few ways you can go about this.

  • You could open up Canvas in a second browser window and navigate to the Camera page there
  • You could enable Local Web Client under your Palette's Settings (only works inside the same subnet)
    • With this enabled, you can then go to http://<P3's IP>:5000, from there you can see your P3's device page and navigate to the camera screen
    • Keep in mind that this will only work when you are on the same subnet/wifi network and it may not work in larger network such as School / Library etc.

Hope this was helpful! Please reach out to support@mosaicmfg.com if you need anything else!

Comments:

If I try to use the second option, I can only access the camera when the P2P isn't printing. When it is printing, I no longer have access to select it. The other issue is that there's a short timeout--then the video stream freezes and the message "Are you still there?" appears. There should be an option for continuous streaming, as I use this with my Klipper setups on other printers. I can also isolate those streams to their own browser window.
