No filament feed / Palette is freezing

I’m currently printing my first keychains and have the same problem with every print. When the print come to the end the filaament is no longer feeded to the extruder and remains in the Palette buffer. When I cancel the print the display shows the message “completing actions” and Palette is freezing so that I have to switch ot off.

Hey @martinnyhc, thanks for reaching out. Hm, Palette only makes filament as long as your extruder pulls it. If the extruder is not pulling any more filament, then Palette will not make any more. Could you share this keychain CANVAS project (instructions here)? Please make sure to share your model, as well as your printer profile. Could you also share photos of your Palette and printer setup, with a focus on the filament path as it enters your extruder? It may be easier to send all of this information to support@mosaicmfg.com - thanks for your patience with this.

I think I've found the problem. Needed to increase splice compression to 1. Before I used 0 and I think the filament parts broke so that the rest of the filament was stuck in the buffer and couldn't be feeded to the extruder. Will do some test prints and let you know if it works now. First print was successfull.

Unfortunately the second print failed because Palette stopped feeding filament while printing. Buffer was empty although print was not finished.

Any ideas please?

Once again Palette stopped to feed filament during the print. Please see picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pw3t1j33zs4irp...

Hey Martin, it looks like a splice broke within Palette. Did you run a splice tuning test and implement the splice settings in your CANVAS project? If so, please share the CANVAS project with me so I can double check (instructions here: mm3d.co/canvas-sharing). Please make sure to share the model, printer profile, material profile, and splice settings. Thanks!
