Not making enough filament to finish keychain

I got the P3P out of the box and setup everything as accurately as possible, but the keychain continues to not have enough filament to finish the print. I researched that I needed increase my bowden tube length in the palette, but when I do it pumps out to much filament while loading the printer and the first transition is way off. I keep adjusting these number, and can't seem to find any other solutions online. I am using the 57mm tube from the P3P to the printer and 660mm from the extruder to hotend to get the perfect start of print. My printer is a Ender 5 plus

Hi @codyp, thanks for getting in touch.

You'll need to set your Bowden tube length in Canvas, not on Palette. You can do this in your printer profile settings, in the Extruder tab. It's better to overestimate a little with this setting, if in doubt.

Your outgoing tube length and Loading Offset (total distance from the end of the outgoing tube to the nozzle) are set on Palette.

Please then take the following steps:

- Factory reset so we can start with fresh calibration
- Print the keychain again and share a picture of the print and the bottom of the transition tower
- Share a link to your Canvas project (the share button is in the top right corner of your project, please tick the boxes to share your printer profile and project settings)
- Share pings data (on the print progress screen, under Tools)

If you prefer you can share the above at support@mosaicmfg.com

Look forward to hearing from you!

Guy

I am adding 50mm of filament to the original bowden length in the printer setting on canvas as well as tuning the slicer settings some. I will post again with updated results to prove solution solved. Thank you for the help Guy!

Hi @codyp, I can't see the images unfortunately but I gather you've had a successful keychain print! Let me know if you'd like any support in the future.

Keep in mind that you might need to do some splice tuning in future, particularly if using different brands/filaments: Splice Tuning for Palette 3

We're here anytime if you need!
