@alina Alina, thanks. I try detect trouble using this scenario:[br]

# made model https://share.canvas3d.io/projects/0ae19...

# slice it by Cura & print directly

# slice it by CanvasIO & print directly

# slice it by CanvasIO & print by Canvas Hub

after all test i’ll write you about results.

PS [br]

“enable cancel print on ping variation” NOT selected

log file - octoprint.log.2020-10-13.xls

by

What does it say on Palette’s screen when the print stops? Does it say “print finished”?

No, welcome screen

by

2020-10-14 15:09:38,030 - octoprint.plugins.palette2 - INFO - Cancelling print from Hub

i think this file octoprint.log.xls

by

Thanks for providing that Artem, please give us some time to look over the logs. Please also attach the new log after your most recent test (slice via CANVAS and print via Hub). I noticed the CANVAS project that you shared was single colour - could you share the multi colour project that you tried to print with Palette and then ran into this error?

by

@alina OK. "# slice it by CanvasIO & print by Canvas Hub" i'll try print multicolor.

Hey @artemv, thanks for reaching out about this and sorry for the trouble. A few questions here to help us troubleshoot:

Could you share the CANVAS project with us (instructions for sharing here), as well as an OctoPrint log from a day that this error occurred (log instructions here)? We will take a look on our end.

Do you have “enable cancel print on ping variation” selected in the advanced settings on the Hub page?

What does it say on Palette’s screen when the print stops? Does it say “print finished”?

Update (10/30/2020)

Hey @artemv, thanks for sending over the new log and project link. Just to clarify, did the print stop due to a broken splice by any chance?

If not, it looks like there are some communication issues between your printer and OctoPrint. This is from the line:

2020-10-16 13:07:05,983 - tornado.application - ERROR - Future exception was never retrieved: Traceback (most recent call last):

File "/home/pi/OctoPrint/venv/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/tornado/gen.py", line 1141, in run

yielded = self.gen.throw(*exc_info)

“tornado.application” tells us that this error is not coming from our plugins, which would say “octoprint.plugins.canvas” or “octoprint.plugins.palette2” and rather from OctoPrint.

Unfortunately, this means we don’t have the ability to fix the communication issue. I also checked the compatibility page here, and unfortunately I don’t see your printer (Hercules) on the list of tested printers to work with OctoPrint. I think the best solution here is to use Palette in accessory mode, without a Hub. The best way to do this is to reset Palette to factory defaults (settings —> preferences —> reset), and rerun the calibration keychain as in the first print instructions here, but follow the steps for “accessory” rather than “connected mode”. The print quality will be the same, you will just have to transfer the files manually onto Palette and your printer, rather than sending them through the Hub. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Hey Artem, could you send the full OctoPrint log, as well as a CANVAS share link (mm3d.co/canvas-sharing) for the cube print to alina@mosaicmfg.com? Unfortunately, the log attached is very short and does not have the full information for the print. You can check this by searching "PRINT STARTED P2" on the log - this line reflects the start of the print, so this is where we usually start assessing the subsequent commands. I could not find this line in the log attached above. It is also best to download the log right after the print fails/finishes, so we know that the error will be reflected at the end of the log. Thanks so much for your patience with this, and I will be checking my inbox for this information so we can troubleshoot this.

Hey Artem, the CANVAS Hub page runs OctoPrint, which is an open source application that allows you to control your 3D printer. The list you see above is from OctoPrint, while our plugins would be called “octoprint.plugins.canvas” or “octoprint.plugins.palette2”.

In terms of the buffer error 121, this usually happens because the printer speed is too high for the Palette buffer to keep up with, so the buffer switch gets triggered unexpectedly. If this error is not causing the print to stop, it is simply cautionary - please try lowering your print speed to help.

i try and 60 and 40 and 20 nothing changed. buffer error. feeling as if the buffer control settings are knocked off. It is used all the time at 30% maximum and stops when spliced

i try reset 2 factory defaults and nothing changed. Why can be such situation that buffer used minimaly?

by

Hey Artem, thank you for sharing this. I have a few notes for you here:

1. For the buffer error, could you please tell me what your SPC/PPM values are? You can find this under "About" on Palette. Then, please calibrate your SPC/PPM values following the instructions here: mm3d.co/spcppm

Please tell me what your new SPC/PPM after calibration are. After calibration of SPC/PPM, please reset Palette to factory defaults (settings --> preferences --> reset) and run a new keychain (below).

2. The keychain is supposed to be 2 STL's and in 2 colours, with no supports. I have fixed this for you - please import this new project and style profile to print:

https://share.canvas3d.io/projects/eb703...

by

hi @alina bad news for me, i think that problem in output bufer wheel. see

calibrate video, palette can't calculate wheel rotation right. How i can fix it? https://1drv.ms/v/s!Aka0kT7E1q0ziIxEoH_L...

by

Hey Artem, yes unfortunately you are correct - this is an issue with the scroll/encoder wheel. It is often fixed simply by removing the scroll wheel, cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, and placing it back in. To do this, please follow the instructions here (mm3d.co/replaceencoder). You don't have to replace the wheel yet, but simply uninstall it, clean it, and reinstall it. Please try running SPC/PPM calibration once more after this. If you still cannot press "Next," please email me (alina@mosaicmfg.com) your shipping address, so I can send you a new scroll wheel. Thanks for your patience with this!

by

@alina and one more question. One of callibration profile set as 89 PPM and do not run to recalibrate becouse this value is incorrect. How i can clear this profile. unfortunately reset Palette to factory defaults do not help me. after reset all properties stand in memory.
