Good color at beginning but mixed at the end.

When I Print the color looks good in the beginning but when the print progresses the color starts to come to early. even before it had the change to purge the previous color.

I have calibrated my printers extruder. When I ask for 100mm I get exactly 100mm.

I think there is some setting on the Palette that needs to be changed but I don’t know witch setting.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @barcode007, you can try the following if you are finding that colors are transitioning too early.

Check the loading offset on your printer profile. For Palette 2, the LO should be the length filament must travel from Palette’s output to the printer nozzle.

For direct drive printers, this includes the outgoing tube length + printhead.

For bowden printers, this length includes the outgoing tube length + extruder + bowden tube + printhead.

This length should be accurate so that the amount of filament loaded at the beginning is just enough to prime the nozzle. If you are finding that too much filament comes out before starting the print, it would be good to check this length.

The loading offset should je correct. With the calibration piece the transition in the beginning is perfect but the transition at the end of the print comes to early. The transition happens in the model and not in the purge block. Is it possible that the E-steps of the palette are not calibrated. Because my printer doesn't have enough filament to finish the print but I have changed the printer profile to give me and extra 450mm of filament at the end so the extruder still grips on the filament when the print is finished. I am using the palette 3 pro.

@barcode007 One other thing you can try is increasing the transition target in Canvas. This is under project settings > transition > target. Please try increasing this percentage by 5-10% and see if it changes the timing of the transition.
