If I change the nozzle size, do I need to re-calibrate the Palette 2?

I’m currently printing with a 0.4mm nozzle but I’d like to switch to a 0.25mm or smaller nozzle for more detailed lines. Will I have to recalibrate the Palette 2 to work properly with this new extrusion width?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hey @waylaidwanderer, thanks for reaching out about this. If after changing your nozzle, you also recalibrate your extruder (following a guide similar to this), then we would recommend resetting Palette to factory defaults and rerunning the calibration keychain. Another thing to keep in mind is that Palette is tested and designed for standard 0.4 mm nozzles, so using a 0.25 mm nozzle would be considered experimental. Smaller nozzles might affect transitions between colours, as less filament is extruded, so the transition length will likely have to be significantly larger to make sure the previous colour is wiped away properly. That being said, this is easily done in CANVAS under the Transition tab. Hope that helps!
