I just got a Kobra Max and connected it to a Palette 3 pro. It’s still a new setup but I’ve successfully printed both in Accessory and Connected mode through Canvas on it. The prints aren’t ‘flawless’, but I still have tweaking to do.

To answer your question more directly, yes, they work well together. You’ll need to play with the values for the bowden length to get you transitions in the right place but you’ll find your groove within a few prints.

Make sure to read the section about ‘pings and pongs’… it really helped me contextualize how the printer and Palette 3 pro talk.

Can i ask @venicebeacher what did you list the filament lead length or would you be willing to share your settings for canvas/ setup? I should receive my p3p tomorrow, and super interested in getting a head start :)

@andybatman Hi Andy, I've been using a Bowden Length of 600mm and it seems to be working well. The only disadvantage I can see right now with the setup is that if you print on the Kobra Max directly from a MicroSD card you can adjust your Z Offset while printing. However, I haven't found a way to do that when printing via usb through the P3P.

Where do you mount the Guide tube clip? Before the filament runout sensor (small surface area to mount to) or can you remove the ptfe tube from the extruder feeder inlet side?

Hi @mightynate, looking at the printer’s specifications it looks to be compatible. The general criteria is that the printer should use 1.75mm filament from an open-system, have an accessible filament feed, and can use G-Code or a variation of.
