I tried googling this but didn’t find the answer I wanted.
I would like to use Canvas3D also without a palette with some of my other multi-material solutions. Even though I have transition tower turned on in the machine configuration it will not generate one when I slice. How to do this seemingly simple thing?

Hey @datadink, if you create a printer profile on CANVAS without a Palette attached to it, CANVAS will assume you’re only making single colour or single material prints, and likely will not generate a transition tower. Could you share this CANVAS project with us so we can take a look on our end (instructions here?) Thanks!
Hey @datadink, thanks for sending that over. I have attached a screenshot of your printer profile on CANVAS here - it doesn’t have a Palette attached to it, so CANVAS will not generate a transition tower or make a file for multi-material printing. In order to do this, you would have to add Palette to your printer profile. Then, CANVAS will generate the appropriate modified GCode file for multi-material or multi-colour printing. So the problem with this is that the GCODE this produces only has 1 tool. This is because it's expecting the palette to handle the material swapping. I was hoping for a solution to use Canvas3D with a non-palette setup because I like Canvas as a multi material slicer in general.
I'll pop a feature request in and see if it is something the team wants to support.
