CANVAS Z Controls have a Mind of their Own and it's not Helpful

I am trying to line up a number of models for multi-colour printing in CANVAS but the move function seems to have a mind of it’s own.

The first thing is that there is no z-control handle that can be moved with the mouse on the model like x and y do when using the move command and secondly when I try to input a specific number into the z field it just changes it to something else (like changing 40 to 20 or some other random number) It is EXTREMELY frustrating.

I am trying to align 3 separate models for printing and not having a z control and the app not leaving the model where I put it is making it almost impossible.

Can you please assist.

I had scaled the model up before trying to move it, it may possibly be related if the moves and values are still being adjusted using the original size.

I notice the same weird behavior when moving objects or groups in the z axis. It doesn't seem to make any difference where you move the object however, since when you slice the project it moves the object back onto the build plate.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I was trying to arrange different elements of multi-colour print, one of which had to sit on another so the problems with the z control (or browser?) caused trouble. I eventually got lucky and it ended up in the right spot.

Hey @enhaxed, thanks for reaching out about this. Could you share this CANVAS project with us so we can try it on our end (instructions for sharing here)? Thanks!

I've emailed the link.

Sorry Anthony, I checked our inbox and don't see the e-mail unfortunately. Could you resend the link to please? Thanks!

Sorry, timezones, I went to bed after I sent the first one.

Thanks for sending that over - we're looking over it with the CANVAS team. Could you tell me what browser and OS you're using?

I'm using the current version of Chrome [Version 85.0.4183.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)] under Windows 10 Pro Version 1909. I should also mention that I am using metric measurement (in case that relates to the issue).

Sorry for the late reply, I only just received the notification email that there had been a post.
