How do I recover from Error 101 message

My Palette 3 plus has been giving me error 101 messages.  I tried homing cam in X-ray mode. This worked for a small print using 4 colors in slots 1,2,3 and 8. today, i went to start a new print and it started giving me the error as i was loading the filament in slots 1,2,3 and 4. the error message came after it took the filament for slot 3 and went to take the filament in slot 4. I than tried to use slots 5,6,7 and 8. it gave me the error message as soon as it tried to load slot 5. I again try homing cam in X-ray mode. and still have the same issue.

Hi @pauls, I’m very sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. When you have a moment, would you be able to access the back of the unit following the steps here, to take a photo similar to the one below? We would like to see if the proximity sensor (outlined in red) is bent or damaged in any way.

Please do not have to remove the metal bracket supporting the CAM, the first photo is just to give an idea of where the proximity sensor is.

here is the picture you asked for. Originally, I was getting this error halfway thru a 16 hour print.

I am having the same issues, did you solve it?

I also have this same issue. I have a new Palette 3 and just got through the process of getting two colors to work correctly. Added a third and get the 101. Any word on the fix.

So far my problems seem fixed (haven't done a long print yet) I had 3 issues 1) a Bad belt 2) moving the sensor a touch closer (they wouldn't give exact measurements) 3) a Cam roller I was missing a set screw and that seems to fix it.
