Wifi SSID - Apostrophes don't work

I am unable to configure the Palette 3 to use our SSID (works tethered, so issue confirmed).

If the Raspberry Pi compute module is using Rapbian, it’s probably the formatting of the wpa_supplicant.conf and/or quoting of characters.

The ssid is along the lines of "Toronto’s Cultural Diversity Rocks”

Also say hi to the folks in dev/qa - curious message on the serial port post-boot. Someone there live in the Simcoe area? :-)

“SIMCOE HB”

Hi @krayola, the single apostrophe should be available if you click on this key (=\<), which will open another set of characters!

Good find on the serial port post-boot 😅

Comments:

I was able to enter it via the soft keyboard, but it wasn't able to join it. I'm assuming there's an issue with quoting when it writes to the wpa_supplicant.conf.

@krayola Thanks for giving this a try, we'll have to look into this further. In the mean time, are you able to connect using Ethernet?
