Palette 3 pro not starting print on Prusa i3 mk3s+

I got my P3P today and couldn't wait to get started, I hooked it up and ran the calibration keychain on my Prusa i3 mk3s+. It printed fine and looked really great. But when I try to print something I have coloured myself, not much happens.

The P3P starts up, I navigate to the file on the usb stick, it starts to create filament. I load the filament into my Prusa, I confirm on my Prusa that the filament is loaded and the right color is extruded and that's it. For some reason unknown to me nothing else happens.. The P3P looks to be printing but my prusa just doesn't move. Please help me figure this out. spent several hours trying to figure this out but to no avail

Hey Rune, sorry to hear! You must upload the ‘alt-firmware’ listed here to your Palette to use it with your Prusa. The current Prusa firmware is unfortunately incompatible with Palette, and something we are looking to fix in the near future.

Hi team,

I had the same problem, and then downloaded/installed the “alternate release alt-22.02.09.0” for my P3P. However, although I can manually get the Prusa mk3s+ to preheat and feed the filament, the printing does not start. The Prusa firmware version is 3.10.1-4697. Should I upgrade that to 3.11 as well? Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi Cathy, the Prusa firmware fix is built into the most recent version of Palette 3's firmware.
