I am attempting to use my Palette 2S. The menu keeps resetting.

I have been trying to use my Palette 2s (Bought new but sitting in a box for a year)

I power up the device, and try and go through the menu, but it will self select the back button at random times, frequently taking me back to the home screen before I can do anything.
