No, CANVAS is browser-based and requires an internet connection. We do recommend giving it a try because of how much it simplifies the multi-material slicing process.

I don't want to slice in the cloud. What are my options?

Use Chroma: By slicing in another slicer (it works with the most popular slicers like Cura, Simplify3D, Slic3r) and then running the GCode file through Mosaic Chroma software. It accepts a multi-tool GCode file and produces a file that Palette can understand (e.g. Drive 1, 200mm; Drive 2, 100mm). Chroma can be used offline if you prefer to keep things that way. Chroma will work on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Comments:

Chroma is not available for palette 3, which is a shame given that mosaic's servers had an outage today that made it impossible to use my Palette 3...

This type of bullshit is why we're demanding offline capabilities.

I did not pay $800 for a device that becomes a paperweight whenever your server has issues.

Please release Chroma or some similar tool to allow all slicers (not just Prusa) to be able to utilize Palette 3 devices without reliance on your servers.
